Montgomery Eye Physicians Welcomes Acclaimed Optometrist Dr. Sarika Patel to Expert Team

Dr. Patel is a Montgomery native, and she has studied and worked within her home state Alabama throughout her entire optometry career.
Montgomery Eye Physicians is proud to officially announce and welcome the newest addition to their team of distinguished ophthalmologists and optometrists, Dr. Sarika Patel. Dr. Patel is board-certified in optometry and has received specialized training in myopia control, infant aphakia, specialty contact lenses, nursing home eye exams, low vision, and vision therapy.
Dr. Patel will see patients at each of Montgomery Eye Physicians’ locations in Zelda, Sturbridge and Prattville starting in Sept. 2024. Fluent in both English and Gujarati, Dr. Patel is known for her acute precision in procedures and compassionate approach to patient care.
A native of Montgomery, Dr. Patel pursued her undergraduate studies at Auburn University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, completing two externships at Basden Eye Care and Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. During this experience, Dr. Patel gained extensive experience in treating myopia, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
Dr. Patel is eager to contribute her expertise, passion for high-quality care, and sincere concern for patient well-being to Montgomery Eye Physicians.
